The time goes so fast while I am doing my two-month secondment at United Nations Economic Commission for Europe – UNECE. I have gained invaluable experience in a short time. The supervisors are committed to training and supervision, and as a result, I gained tremendous insight into the United Nations’ policy framework on aging. Furthermore, I have broadened my perspective on different aspects of ageing.
I had the chance to participate in several meetings: Side event at the Beijing+25 Regional Review Meeting entitled “Changing demographics: Ageing and its implications for gender equality”, Twelfth Meeting of the Working Group on Ageing, and UNECE Policy Seminar on Ageing “Informal care for persons with dementia”.
Without question, my internship here is one of the highlights of my fellowship within Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions ITN EuroAgeism. I feel so fortunate to be an intern at UNECE and if I could I would extend my secondment.
