This report has been compiled with the lead lecturer of Working Party 2 and five of the Emerging Research Scholars involved in the project. The report concerns the ethical considerations to be made when conducting research with frail older adults. It introduces the four main tenets of ethics and outlines the six main principles of ethical research before going on to report on additional considerations when working with frail older adults. In order to have relevance and to facilitate ethical discussion, the first part of the report (Section 2) centres on the research concerning frail older adults. The third part of the report (Section 3) describes the current state of the four research projects (#6, #7, #9, #10) and the ethical approval required for each. The fifth ESR (#8) contributed to the final report as he started his employment in early January.
