Deliverable 7.6: A report concerning the ethical status of the studies including potential risks and benefits associated with participation and issues of safety and confidentiality (ESRs #1-5)

This report is on ethical considerations regarding individual projects of early stage researchers (ESR) in Work package 1 (WP1).  The research methods, the type of data used, the country coverage and the regulations of institutions involved vary considerably within the projects in WP1. These different  ethical aspects and approaches are discussed in this report. In the first section of the report, previous studies on ageism and ethics of age discrimination in the labor force are summarized. Second section is on general methodological considerations in WP1. Ethical codes and policies of the universities of each ESR are reported in the third section. Fourth section is on ethical considerations in individual research projects in the WP1 such as their preliminary approvals, data collection and analysis process. Finally, in the last section concluding remarks are given.
