A series of discussions on gerontology and ageism literature have been organised since October 2018 by Division Ageing and Social Change (ASC), Linköping University. The purpose of these discussions is to deepen ESRs’ knowledge about ageism, ageing and other relevant theories. All early-stage researchers (ESRs) and supervisors are invited to join these serial discussions via Zoom meetings. The supervisors usually attend the online discussion, as well as provide valuable training and further readings.
The discussion is scheduled every two weeks and usually takes approximately two and a half hours each session. The participants are asked to read the articles before the discussion. Two ESRs are assigned to present a short summary of the article to start the discussion. Regarding the literature, all participants are encouraged to suggest readings for future discussions.
